1. Is the solar garage door opener Right for Your Door?
Now that you understand a bit about drive and power, you should consider the dimensions of your door and how that will help you make a decision.
Lighter doors: 1/2 HP openers get the job done in most situations and are the most common model. If your door is lightweight aluminium or a quite simple model, 1/2 or even 1/4 models could serve you quite well!
